1st day;

HELLO EVERYONE.

I shall make this tiny effort to update at least once a week.
(im quite amazed that i still have over 1000 bloghits per month though i have not been updating this blog as frequent as i wished too. A big thank you to those who made the effort to visit/ chance upon my humble blog by accident)

I will like to document my internship experience. I shall make it as simple as possible and I assure you that the thoughts I am going to express are going neutral and fairly stated.

Admittedly, this is my first audit internship, my very first accounts-related job. Like many of my peers, I experienced the first day jitters. I was worried about the job scope and my dressing, got anxious about being attached to a mentor and etc.

I started off my first day rather early. I haven't been waking up at 6plus in the morning ever since my 2nd year of university (there are exceptions such as going on trips and etc).

It's definitely tiring to wake up this early and this will be my routine for the next 10 weeks. But for the experience and personal development, I'll make sure I put my best to making each day of my internship as meaningful as i can.

Things did not turn out my way as i wanted it to be. It started pouring when I was about to set off from home. The first thought which came to my mind was "what a bad day to start work... ): " ... then i was on the train... the train came to a halt / or perhaps, was crawling like a snail due to a train fault. I started getting abit pissy, but there's nothing i could do but to secretly wish that the train will transform into a bullet train and transport me to cityhall. Oh well. However, i was really glad to have a friend who waited for me at the mrt station despite knowing that my train is delayed. Thank you for waiting for about half an hour for me.

Arrived at the intern company, i saw other familiar faces. What a relief!

I will not comment on the job i've assigned to as it's only my first day there and tomorrow, I'll be going for external auditing... One half of me is really excited and curious. the other half, afraid, not knowing of what kind of on-the-job training will i be exposed to. Knowing that I'll be working at a client's office, I'll definitely need to work well with my team under time constrains.

Personally (1st day opinion), I feel that doing audit is kinda tough. EDIT. Perhaps, it really is challenging, confusing and nerve wrecking for someone who has no experience doing audit at all. (maybe my perception towards audit will change as i nurture over this internship period?)

It literally swept me off the ground but i managed to pick myself up? SOMEHOW.

I spent hours doing something that my mentor will only require minutes to do it. Everything was so overwhelming. I felt very lost at most instances. However, I am thankful to have a mentor who's willing to accept my mistakes and guide/ correct me along the way. (haha, hope she stays that way throughout my internship)...

Hmmm... I wonder what new challenges I will be presented with tomorrow? ...

A few days ago, i went for mediacorp channel U's TESTUBE 实验室 program!
It aired 'live' but there'll be some repeat telecast next week...

It's an awesome program and i made many new friends (:
Oh boy, i was really tired when filming... we started filming at 11.50pm till past midnight... i fought really hard to keep my eyes awake cos i had spent my entire day in school.
I practically spent for at most 3hours for all those days...but it's worth the sacrifice :D
Friends, if you're interested in joining TESTUBE, i think there will be a season 2 sometime in Aug/Sept!

Im planning to go HK from 20th July to 30th July, anyone interested in going together?? :D

im excited as i may be going on a trip with friends in dec!
hmm... i hope the timing wont interfere with my family trip!

since im going to go on a trip, i need money.
bleahs. i expended alot of kachings in june to august, be it in sichuan or locally, mostly spent on shopping.

so, i better start saying money before its too late. do you think its possible for me to save 300$ of my allowance every month from sept to nov!? i'll have 900$ cash to spend on my trip, awesome. so friends, try not to call me out for lunch/dinner gatherings so often yeahhhh! thanks thanks thanks :D

and and cos im not working, i hope someone can recommend me some good lobangs! i need to earn money to help cover my airfares and accomdations!!!!!!!. i dont wanna eat into my current savings. tuition is the best, cheap and fast money! haah any of you has tutees who need a new tutor (teaching P5 to secondary math), let me know alrights! i give very good rates and i do have experience teaching! (:

sichuan

22 friends on a 22 day mission.

To teach the kids in nanyangshuangdong primary and simply, to have fun.

The kids are adorable, with the exception that some of them are really smelly ):
They're a lovely bunch too though they're naughty at times and pisses us off VERY MUCH.
I love them, they gave me many wonderful memories.
I'll miss them!
I'll wanna go back to sichuan again nxt year to visit the kids (: (we'll go there on our own expenses and our own accord! (: It's gonna be a worth while trip, zhaoxuan please organize k! on a side note, my parents said they wanna go sichuan too, if im going back to visit the kids!)

Overall, the trip was really thrilling, the company was great, the things we did were extraordinary? (i wont do these kinda activities when im overseas :P)

MANICURE & PEDICURE! MASSAGE! CLUBBING! DRINKING! ATE LOTSA FOOD!
SHOPPING SHOPPING SHOPPING! HTHT? KTVs!
MASS SABOTEUR SESSIONS? TRAVELLING! SIGHTSEEING!

btw, the fast food in sichuan are really tasty!
i've never ate so much fast food within 3 weeks?
i love their macs terriyaki grilled burger, much juicier that sg's!
i love dico's burgers! especially the hawaiian burger!
kfc and subway is not bad too... but i didnt try their pizzahut!
next time if you're going china! try to visit DICOS! (: yummy fast food!

oh man, the road trip to jiuzaigou was quite tough? my legs were so sore that i had problems walking on the day after the trip :P (if you're interested to know more, free feel to ask me)

shucks, im hooked onto 2 new scents! finally, i bought the 2 frangrances this morning when i arrived at changi airport (:
im so in love with PURE SEDUCTION by VICTORIA SECRET and MISS DIOR CHERIE by CHRISTIAN DIOR!
the former is really sweet and delicious! i love it (: and its frigging cheap! only 1/4 the price of the latter.
nonetheless, i like the latter for its clean and lightness feel! it smells like popcorn too... ahhs, good for school!
